A few seconds reveal.

Peculiar.

Edited because my post seems negative...  It'll be good.  I'm sure it will be excellent.  Not my cup of tea but I'm hoping for success for the wider community.

Nothing to show I guess.

Worst kept secret! But yeah…I’d have expected a bit of a reveal trailer tbh. Or is there something else to follow up?

Well it was short... Only thing really shown IS the tittle Korean and the butt of a Mig15....

A little tail tease from the mighty Mig 15 😁

Clouds look good as does the rear.

excited to uphold Kim Il Sung thought

Also I really hope we get heavy bombers, at least as AI, really would be fun to intercept B-29s near the Korean-Chinese border

So I’m guessing early access isn’t happening right away??? 😏

Good lord.

"most of the work has already been done."

And that's what they said in the first public video?

what means "mouse-free experience in VR"

2 years in the wait for a 30second clip with most of the time a black screen... Well that's disapointing.

I do hope that's they'll accelerate their communication because at this rate we will have a real promo trailer in 20 years...

Lol, well, I suppose we can wait on that other series...

"Most of the work is already done" ok, I wont hold my breath, hope 1c can deliver.

So, after going through the website a few times and using information we already know, I'm 90% sure this is the aircraft list for Korea

Yak 9 (WIP image was displayed a while back)
Il-10
F-51
Corsair
Mig 15
F-80 Shooting Star
F-86 Sabre
Unknown Jet (I'm thinking most likely an F84, though hoping it's a Meteor despite evidence in the contrary)

B-29 and TU-2 as AI only

For the most part, yes. The Yak-9 will be the Yak-9P.

A bit strange that they didn't post the website and DD, because they are actually a lot more exciting than the video.

It's great to see that they gave some love to SP as well: "skip time on the route feature." This is probably a huge quality of life feature for SP.

And this will allow a new kind of mission where you try to disable airfields: "uneven airfields and 3D bomb craters"

Having 4 piston planes and 4 jets will be awesome. We can experience the transition between the two and try to survive in a piston against a jet.

I'm surprised that they implemented the ability to walk on the ground. This was discussed by the team, but I thought that they considered it too hard to do.

I'm a bit unsure whether the ability to "manage your unit supplies, personnel and aircraft" will be useful. It can just as easily be frustrating if the AI keeps destroying itself and you have absurd attrition.

It's hard to judge the visual quality improvements and some of the other things without having some proper video showing these things. Hopefully we will get a more extensive video in the future. But this probably requires at least part of the map to be done.

All in all, glad to see that the communication pipeline has been opened.

I'm sorry, but, for the 4k photos on the website, the terrain looks exactly the same as IL-2. Why don't a satellite image approach, guys?  Looking the results of MSFS and the terrains in DCS, the same old approach looks too outdated after all these years. Even the city shot is the same unreal blocks...

Anyway, thanks for choosing Korea.  It is also a forgotten conflict in a lot of ways.

Hoping they add some non-US aircraft like the Meteor at some point. The ability to walk around is a feature I'm very much looking forward to. It was always fun in multiplayer to sit on the airfield and watch the planes taking off and landing.

It's not realistic to expect them to use sattelite images, when the first sattelites were launched only after the Korean war 'ended'.

They only announced the 8 base airplanes. It seems to me that there are two spots left for the premium version of the game. It seems to me that the Meteor is a good choice for a premium plane.

Adding the Meteor would also mean you have all of the RAAF's combat aircraft from Korea modeled, as they also flew F-51s earlier in the war.

I'm curious if the bombers would be AI-only? I mean the B-29 we see on the website and the Tu-2 (if there is one)? If it is possible to give some info at this moment?

I do have one advice for the team: include from the beggining a proper mission editor with a more user friendly interface than the one with great battles.

Mission editor is the key to have a long lasting success!

Congratulations and best wishes on IL-2 Korea, guys!  I'm looking forward to its release.

Should be an interesting setting for air combat, with jet v jet, jet v piston, air to air and air to ground operations.   I hope you are able to introduce aircraft carriers, as both the Royal Navy and USN operated carriers during the conflict.

From my research, some other Allied aircraft which could be quite welcome additions.  Not too sure about the North Korean AF aircraft, information is harder to find on its Order of Battle.

Possible Additional Aircraft:

Republic F-84 Thunderjet

North American F-82 Twin Mustang

Grumman F9F Panther

Douglas B-26 Invader (renamed A-26 after 1965)

Douglas AD-1 SkyRaider

Gloster F.8 Meteor

Hawker Sea Fury

Fairey Firefly

Great to hear the official announcement of Korea -IL2, even though it was the worst kept secret 😄

I have always hoped they would do this, it's an instant buy for me and I do hope they adding the Meteor at some point.

Eagerly waiting!

Great news, the team has been working really hard for these past two years.

Can't wait to learn more about this conflict and enjoy flying in the theater!

Korea, yes!!
Hope we get the different types of drop-tanks the F-80 was using, including the inoffical ones. Looking forward to those overloaden, sluggish F-80 Jabos using the last inch of the runaway to get airborne. Thanks devs.

So you won't be seeing this from the off HMS Triumph and the 13th Carrier Air Group in Korea (royalnavyresearcharchive.org.uk)

And probably never. Might get a Sea Fury in a few years if we're lucky. After all, soon going to run out of Russian types to include.

Plus, no mention of helicopters? Would be new a a new and welcome challenge for the Il-2 franchise.
