Powered USB hub

In the on going mission of upgrading my controllers it has occurred to me that I only have 2 powered USB ports on my rig. 

 

Does anyone here use a powered USB hub for their devices? Do they really work? Given that they all have to ultimately go through 1 port on the back of the computer? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

 

I'm currently still using my original X52, 16 years of more or less trouble free service 🫡  I'm hoping to get VKB rudders pedals and Gladiator Evo flight stick and hold onto the x52 throttle until it moves to the next realm.

I use 2 powered USB connectors on my pc, with multiple devices on it, i never experience any problem on delay or sudden disconnection.

If the Hub are using external power supply, it will work fine.

For many years VPC Throttle/Panel/VKB Flightstick on SABRENT 60W 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub . Work fine for me )
