Roger_Meatball Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Hey! I'm glad somebody in the IL-2 community found Scramble! I'm the lead developer on the game and a huge IL-2 fan and player and there is definitely some Great Battles inspiration in our game design. If you have any questions, send them over. Here's a video of somebody testing the demo a bit. On 6/13/2024 at 10:37 AM, AndyJWest said: Seems an odd choice for a turn-based game. Demo is free and you can start flying with a single click (Instant Action button). Check it out and let me know if we convince you otherwise Or have a look through what Aaron said about it over at SkywardFM https://www.skywardfm.com/post/scramble-battle-of-britain-steam-next-fest-june-2024-demo 3 2
Enceladus828 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Looks interesting but I'll stick with the Dover series. That explores other aspects of the Battle of Britain such as the Regia Aeronautica and I can also fly the Beaufighter and the Wellington whereas this and many other BoB games stick with the cliché of Spits and Hurris vs Bf-109s, Bf-110s and German bombers. 1

This isn't really a replacement for Cliffs of Dover. This is a very different type of game. Like a modern take on some of the air combat boardgames of old mixed in with some strategy. 1
AndyJWest Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I've not been much into boardgames and the like. At least, not since my younger brother figured out how to beat me regularly at Cluedo. If that sort of thing is your thing, go for it. Clearly not a direct competitor for the live-action sims, and anyway, choice is good.
Mtnbiker1998 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Reminds me of some of the tabletop Aerial wargames I play with my buddies, looks neat! Definitely will keep an eye on this one
Mysticpuma Posted July 19, 2024 Author Posted July 19, 2024 New video demo of the game has been released. 1
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 If that game could tech BFM and ACM as flow of correct / incorrect maneuver / counter maneuver, teaching placing lit vector and pulling given amount of force that would be great. This game offer this?
