FC recon mission radio

Seem to have a problem doing this mission. getting to the target ring, mission I have has 3 red boxes with in the ring, I have spotted unmarked targets on the ground, flew low over then get the UI dialog to press leftwin + 1, I did do this but nothing happens, also trying to find the key mapping with in the control setting, I did a random flight command for 2 button, yet selecting leftwin plus 1 doesn't get mapped.

I wish to try and change the set keys just in case there is a problem with keyboard etc.
But under all the controls I cannot find the use radio command, hence using another command to see where it is listed with a conflict, but that didn't work.

So problem 1 is don`t know how to radio although UI says how to do it, guessing problem with keyboard or missing map.

You can't re-map the 'Radio' command unfortunately, which is problematic in VR, as it means lifting the headset to hit those keys.

 

VoiceAttack is an option that works.

 

As for your problem with LeftWin+1 not bringing up the radio dialogue, I hope someone els4 can help you.

 

I stopped doing these missions, because I was hoping for an actual camera view (like for bombsight) and found the current system lacking in finesse or any sense of realism.

Thanks that helps,  guessing then its a problem with win+1 keys, ctrl+1 works as the flare gun pops up.

Flying in VR I find VoiceAttack to be a life saver.  I still grope for buttons on my HOTAS for engine and weapons functions, but I do the rest with VA.  You can map any key stroke to a voice command, so things like map, wingman commands, etc. I map to voice.
