Career mode - Battle of Britain or alternatively early Normandy career and late (which is in now)

Loving the career mode on battle of Normandy. Really liked the intercept bomber missions in the beginning of the career before the invasion.

 

I did think though, that the campaign would have started earlier. Maybe in the beginning of 44 or autumn of 43.

 

My suggestion would be to add one early normandy career and one late. So the early one would maybe follow lets say: JG 2 defending the normandy coast and intercepting bombers and the late one would be the one that is available now. 

 

I dont think that it would mean too much job to make this and it would be terrific to fly during that time period. The map and the planes are in the game so it would just be to add a career.

 

And if i could dream, it would be amazing if you could add some earlier planes and maybe battle of Britain to the normandy map. I understand that it would be a way bigger task.

There are some scripted campaigns that do earlier stuff for the Normandy map. Juri made a photo recon campaign for the Bf 109 (early 1944), and I made one for the Hurricane (1941). They are available for free in the scripted campaign section of the forum. I think there are more as well. 🙂

I'm afraid it wouldn't be that easy. The map would require modifications (fewer airfields, fewer paved runways, more seasons). But I'm definitely up for it. It could make for a lot of interesting aircraft - Spitfire pack 😃 (mk. Vc, early Mk. IX, my favourite Mk. XII, Mk. Va for those thinking that cannons are unnecessary ballast, etc), whirlwind!, early car door typhoon, beaufighter, new missions - catching jabos e.g.

Also with PWCG you can start an early campaign on the Normandy map (tho Battle of Britain was moved to 1941 IIRC to have an equal plane set)
