Was trying to figure out what you can do with the Camera Operator Translator.

What can you do with these various camera operator types?

I made a lot of test with it. But I was not able to exactly define how each works and in which conditions, I gave up except for a few cases were I was able to have a kind of first person view going around. Besides that I know that you can have the flyby case but was not able to make it work properly. Gave up long ago, but worth trying.

* The cockpit camera operator is used at the beginning of a mission. You start up in the air with a free camera and move the camera down at a set rate of speed and the cockpit camera operator places you in the cockpit to start in first person view.

* External free camera is set pointing in a certain direction at a certain object it is linked to and the view can be moved around with the keyboard commands.

* External fixed camera remains in the same place and does not move.

* Flyby camera is set at a point and the object it is linked to will fly by it in space. I believe if the time is long enough, it will repeat the view.

* External chase camera will follow the object it is linked to.

* Free camera starts wherever you place it and you can move it around wherever you want.

* I haven't used the "self" camera but I would imagine it points at the player wherever they go.

* Padlock camera would look at whoever it is linked to, probably from the player's point of view.
