I can't put my nickname in the game

Hello everybody. I have tried in every way to put my nickname in the game, but it always remains "player-number". I bought the game on Steam and the 2 accounts are connected. my nickname on steam is different from the one on your account. I tried various solutions found on the forum and on the internet, but nothing changed. You can help me? Thank you
