Spitfire IX performance relative to 109K4, 190D9 and even Spit XIV

Rhineland  Career, quite intimidating when as a German flyer we come up against Spitfire IX's.  They seem to out perform in every aspect the 190 D9 and 109 K4, even out flying and accelerating and speed the Spit XIV

 

Just my experience and it is quite intimidating when we come across them.

Seems the Spit IX is pretty amazing the way it's modeled in IL2.

 

I've run down a d9 with it on one of the multiplayer servers.

Must be the 250 Octane Fuel they're using.

 

Seems the best craft to take it on is the A8 and head on or pray and spray from a distance cause you won't catch it.😁

both K4 and D9 are faster then 150 spit9 so you should be able to run away if you have good SA

I just ran down another d9 on the deck with a spit9 in multiplayer normal server yesterday. Took a minute but I caught em.

If you caught a Dora, there are three posibilities. They don't know about the boost button or they had their thermostat open or both. On a normal server if simplified engine management is on the thermostat was probably open. The other Dora disadvantage is on winter maps, where it doesnt get as much speed boost as other planes. The speeds can all be tested and the K4 and Dora are certainly faster. The Spit IX with 150 octane is a well rounded plane. Its only disadvantage is its top speed and its tail fragility.

well call up viks or snakes and tell them to change FM, it doesent get any bullet profe then anecdotal evidance.

 

while theyr at it they should fix also 190As as i got planty of them at 5-6km alt in lagg3 and all the stats show that should be imposible, so 190 is broken or lagg3 is broken, MP cant be wrong

hes playing on normal setings server so auto trottle, auto radiators, icons, digital speed bars and so on...

so D9 then will not be flying as fast as it can on realisam settings as its radiators will be open like heck and causing drag...

insted 600+ hell be going bearly 550 or so depending on map...

 

but why think its "me" problem when its clearly thouse anti-axis airplane devs and baias FM...

Take it above 3000 m and like Russian planes, it really starts to run out of steam. 150 grade fuel option will only carry it onky as far…

 

Below that its pretty good and it has just as much power as the XIV, but in a much lighter airframe.
