Cannons dont shoot when I aim directly at the plane

Hello I checked many times that when there is 100% probability of hit because I am close to the opponent right behind him then cannons dont work. If I aim up or down a little cannons starts working. Is it feature or bug? Tried it with unlimited ammo option. I can set oponent, lets say Li-2 (unarmed) and fly in formation. When aiming directly for kill my cannon doesnt work.

Second problem I see, is plane reaction on joystick - flying behind plane, crosshair is under the plane and when I slightly pull the joystick, crosshair moves up to the oponent but then stops under it. If I still pull the same amount croshair stops and its impossible to aim directly on the plane. When I pull more (slightly) crosshair jumps over my target. Same from top to down or from side to side. Confirmed on 1/2 time.

Is this happening when flying a specific fighter, or have you tested others? I haven't encountered this behavior myself, but I'll test the current patch version and try to replicate the problem if it helps.

It's possible that there could be some kind of bug with aiming assistance or another user setting. It would require more specific details on your selected difficulty settings to test. You might try turning off any user assistance options and see if that changes anything.

To me it sounds like your joystick may be malfunctioning.

It could be that the joystick is malfunctioning.

There is also an impact of the convergence setting in the armament screen - the gunsight is calibrated for the range that is entered there. So, it is possible that bullets will be a little bit high or a little bit low of the crosshairs depending on the firing range (relative to the convergence range).
