Hi folks, I'm planning to upgrade to an ultrawide curved monitor.  Any high end monitor between 34 and 49 inch would work,  but I am limited to ultrawide aspect monitors due to my custom home pit setup. So I'm looking at 1440 to 1600 pixels on the vertical axis.

I'm concerned about burn-in, since I do a lot of image processing on my gaming rig, i.e. I have plenty of static image elements from Photoshop.

Current candidates:

Samsung S49CG95/Odyssey OLED G9 5120×1440 240Hz Curved Gaming Monitor

Alienware 34 AW3423DWF

3440 x 1440

If you have experience with such monitors in IL2 and with office or image processing applications, please share. Are these even supported by the game?

Alright,  I bought the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 5120×1440 240Hz Curved Gaming Monitor.

The game does not fully scale on this one. The monitor is the equivalent of 2 2560x1440 monitors side by side. Thus, the max FOV should be 2x105 = 210 degrees.  Yet the game only renders a max FOV of 138 degrees. This means that I have a narrower vertical FOV (38.8 instead of 59). That reduces SA on the vertical axis significantly.

Spotting is insane, and the super high FPS helps a lot! From 10km away,  planes are super sharp,  and their shape is visible.

I'll probably go for around 3400 pixels on the x axis,  and place the IL2 Mission planner and discord left and right of the game window.

Is there a way to make the game render an FOV that's larger then the 138 degrees I get now?
