SteamVR ALWAYS forces VR-Start!

Even though Steam Settings / Interface / Taskbar Preferences / SteamVR is unchecked, it forces VR to start in IL-2 even though the VR option there is unchecked. And no matter how often I uncheck it, it checks in automatically at the next start.  (see Pic attached)

How to turn it off? 

  

This started after I had just had my Windows 11 completely overhauled and updated IL-2, where everything should work perfectly...

Same issues here. Ran IL2 without issues in Windows 10.....upgraded to Windows 11 with new CPU and mainboard. Starting the game from Steam just freezes my PC.

Steam version? Did you select in steam "always start in vr without asking"?

Not a steam version!

I you start the Launcher you can switch off VR first in Settings.
