Steam and OpenComposite

Is it possible to use OpenComposite to run the Steam version of IL-2 in VR?  I'm using a Quest3 and Link Cable (if that is relevant).

 

In my search for an answer I’ve seen some people unequivocally say it is not possible, but I’ve seen lots of other threads imply it is quite possible.  I’m unclear. 

 

If the answer is yes, then I have questions about how and should, but I'll delay asking them until I get clarity on whether it is even possible.

I have done it with a Quest 2 using a link cable so I don't see any reason you couldn't do it.
