HazMatt Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 I have G.SKILL memory that is running at 66C. I've read on the internet that that is way high and I've also read that that temp is fine. I placed a fan blowing in the side of the case and dropped the temps but it didn't seem to make a difference. I'm experiencing something where my computer seems to start thermal throttling after running a while. The GPU usage drops from 80-90 percent to 30 to 40 percent and the FPS drops according to the GPU usage drop. I have monitored all my temps when this happens and the memory is the only thing that seems to be running hot. Any ideas?

The best way is use multiple trends using MSI Afterburner. You can put FPS, GPU load, GPU temp, GPU power, CPU temp, RAM temp, RAM usage and any other temp of the Mobo or case. So you can see better the changes, when they happen and how they evolve along time. Example like this: 10 hours ago, HazMatt said: after running a while How long is that while? 10 minutes? 1 hour? Could you also take a picture of your inside PC? (how coolers/fans are disposed) You can try to run with the open case, just to see if the problem still remains.
