LVA_Picard Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 (edited) Went from I7 4770k with 3060TI to I7 13700k with 32 gb ddr5 ramm and RTX 4070 You should expect a huge change and i do on flatscreen the frames are dubbled so far so good . Today it was time to go fore VR il2 with the reverb G2 and i was disappointed i get around 60 fps ultra settings , Shadow and clouds medium AA 2x General 80% resolution And yes i did not installed open xr . But still i expected a little more in fps and better visuals . Greets Robin Ps :MFLS 2020 is much better than with my old system Edited April 3, 2024 by LVA_Picard
kissTheSky Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 60 fps seems a bit low. I’m on 13900K, 4090, 32gb ddr4. Upon takeoff on a bomber escort (BON) mission, I see low to mid 50ies, but then it goes to 90 fps once you gain sufficient altitude. If I remember correctly my graphics settings are very similar to yours.
LVA_Picard Posted April 2, 2024 Author Posted April 2, 2024 It is low indeed and there are stutters aswel keep in mind that i use a 4070 and you a 4090 , do you use open xr ? Fore some reason i can make it work Robin

Fore some reason i can make it work Robin Yes, I am running OpenXR. I should’ve said that. TBH, I’ve running OpenXR for so long, I’ve totally forgot about that. I didn’t even install steamVR when I built my current PC in January ‘23. Stutters, unfortunately, ever present and waiting for development team resources to become available. There’s been a thread or two about them. If you search “micro stutters”, you should be able to find at least one thread on it where two members of the development team commented on.

I recommend using FXAA or MSAA at 0 for the 4070..

LVA_Picard Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 Still not 100% sure what causes this good performance now i think this pc had to settle in a little bit haha

The REverb G2 has already a good amount of internal supersampling so running it at 100% is just quite good. All the other Nvidia panel setting would be most likely irrelevant to the performance. 1
LVA_Picard Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 (edited) I think thats true , wel fore now i have to do it with this set up higher end cards are to expensive en drawing to much power , i need to be able to pay my energy bills haha With these settings now i am more then happy , old system around 45 fps and now between 80/90 fps , i leave it like this .
