No.401_Wolverine Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) http://401squadron.boardforum.ca''>http://401squadron.boardforum.ca'> "Virtual" No.401 Squadron RCAF is looking for pilots, new and experienced, to join our group. Whether you're an ace or haven't touched the controls of an aircraft, we'd like to meet you and see if there's a place for you within our ranks. Our members are located in the North American timezone and fly most evenings during the week and during the weekend. Most of our squadron is made up of Canadian pilots, but there's an American or two in there for good measure. We use Teamspeak3 to communicate while flying and are a pretty friendly bunch all around. Our website (http://401squadron.boardforum.ca'>found here) maintains a members section in which we assign and track personal aircraft and flight logs, including repairs and replacements. Every aircraft that No.401 Squadron pilots have flown is accounted for, including the sortie in which it was lost along with an account of the event. We like to have fun with details like this with an eye towards historical accuracy. We have an advancement system that allows all pilots to gain rank by participating in our squadron flight log. Earn medals and commendations by describing your most amazing flights. We like to respect the recipients of the real awards, however, so all of our medals and commendations are fictional (you won't find any of our members sporting a Distinguished Flying Cross, but you may see an Illustrious Flying Shield or two). We're constantly looking for new ways to enjoy our time flying and as of this post we're getting ready to start the first of many Squadron Campaigns designed to give a look into the life of pilots during the Battle of Britain and to offer persistant achievements over the course of several missions. Our squadron flies "full switch" (a term which here means all realism options turned on) to increase the challenge of the game and give a better insight into the workload of the heroic pilots who flew these machines in the skies over Europe. Please come by our forum and say hello! Salute! Edited December 17, 2012 by No401Wolverine
