High Altitude Precision Bombing (HAPB) Training Server

Good afternoon folks,

 

The purpose of this server is to provide a dedicated platform for players to hone their skills in High Altitude Precision Bombing, or HAPB.

Despite the abundance of training servers available, few adequately cater to the nuances of flying bombers within this game. As a result, players often overlook the importance of mastering skills such as precise aiming and formation flying. To that end, this server seeks to fill that gap by offering a focused environment where players can develop and refine these abilities.

Here, you will be able to practice your:

1. Accuracy
   • Flags are posted at 10m intervals in the target range so you can measure your Circular Error Probable (CEP).
   • Elevation is listed, because that matters too. 
   • Smoke provides visual feedback on kill effect. (If destroyed, target respawns in a few seconds).
2. Formation
   • An AI bomber flies a track which consists of basic flight maneuvers such as level flight, turns, climbs & descents.
3. Targets
   • A selection of depot targets from the IL2 server FINNISH has been placed on the server if you wish to figure out your interval spacing when releasing bombs.

This is our first mission yet so I expect there to be tons of bugs or areas that can improve. I am fixing them as we go, but if there are any that you have noticed, please feel free to post here or message me here or our Discord. Thank you for your time!

I tried logging on a couple times. The map loads but it is always nighttime when I load into the missions. Perhaps not working as intended?
