Split throttle axis on TM Warthog.

Hi all,

I was wondering does anyone know if there is a way to get IL2 BOS to recognise my split throttle (second axis) as I want to use it for RPM or prop speed if you will. As hard as I try IL2 just does not recognise it, am I missing something or is this a known issue with the Warthog. TIA for any help.

Sorry....I don't have a Warthog anything. I just have a simple Logitech joystick and a Saitek Quadrant. Everything works so no reason why yours shouldn't.

In CUSTOM settings you don't have Simplified Controls checked do you? If so...Uncheck it.

Here is a screen capture what I have in Key Mapping. Sometimes the software (game) doesn't pickup my throttle settings fast when first registering it. Have to do it a few times before it takes.

No hiccups once it's in. Hope this helps

Thanks Tempest, but sadly it must be a IL2 BOS issue, second throttle axis works fine in other sims(DCS,FS2020) for some reason IL2 BOS just won't pick it up sadly. I don't use simplified controls but I did check, you never know.

It should work, and it is not an issue people have had with the TM and IL-2. Are you running any TM software for it? Also, have you updated your drivers?

Yup, as noted above, it should work allright. I've got two Thrustmaster throttles, Warthog and TCA one. I don't recall issues with getting their axes recognized when I was setting them up in Il-2 years ago, but I never used any profiler software like T.A.R.G.E.T with them, just assigned them directly in the game. Are you trying to do the same?

As an example - this is how they're detected in my game in custom profile for twin engine planes. "Joy 2" is Warthog quadrant, "Joy 4" is TCA, both in split configs. I'm still Win 10 user by the way, although I don't think it matters in this case?

Thanks, I hear you all I really do, and I'm no IL2 BOS novice either but I'm telling you several axis now on my throttle(only four weeks old by the way) will not be recognised by IL2 BOS, I've tried everything I know in the book, including deleting the above said file and starting again from scratch but to no avail, checked and re-checked my Warthog throttle is working ok which it is, so this must be some kind of bug, thanks any way for all your advice.

I guess this throttle have no issues in windows either.
I have these analog hats on my Virpil grip. In order to make it seen in the interface I had to calibrate it with smaller movement in windows. Had to do it with my old collective throttle too. But in your case that should not be the case.

Are you using a powered HUB? I read there is some issues with hooking up a Warthog with that.

I do not remmember 100% any more, but I had some issues initially; I think I tried to use it without any driver (just win driver), and that was my mistake. Try to install proper driver for it, without additional software (no TARGET), and report.

PS: I have zero problems with my warthog, and I use 3 axes for throttle, RPM and mixture
