Pilot Templates?

Hi.

Are there some templates for the pilots. I found some pilot-skins (dds. files) under data/graphics/character - so i thought, there must be some  templates as well.

Does sombody know in wich files the pilot-skins get connected to the planes?

Actually, the pilot skins (.dds) are in data/graphics/textures/common.

 

I believe you are in the right folder; example: data/graphics/character/pilot_ger/pilotger.txt references some locations for .mkf and .ckf files.  I don't know what those are, but maybe they are templates.

I think the Templates are .xcf  - files, but i will try :-).

Thank you for your advice with the textures/common - folder. I didn't see it at all ?

Sadly there are no templates within the game files, only textures.

 

In old IL-2 it was really nice when you could select a pilot texture; I even had some historical missions where pilots were actual Finnish aces flying the mission.

UnGTP the ...data\Characters.gtp file and put the whole content in ............ \IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\graphics\characters
