Ju52 carrer - Cant keep up with formation leader - doesn't care about where his wingmen are

I just damaged my second engine trying to reach my flight leader,and number 3 wingman as always i somewhere way behind.Can something be done about this...I litterlay burned 100% throttle as long as i could and still could barely catch up with leader at number 2 waypoint (100km) at which point my second engine was reported damaged after numerous reports about pushing the engines too much.We have 4/ms winds and they are a hinderance but naturally not for the leader who just goes his merry way not caring where we are.In previous formation missions I carried less fuel and thats why probably i could keep up with him (while still leaving number 3 behind).Did anyone test these transport carrers...was this intended way of playing...cause its soo unimersive,its like im not even a part of game.What should be a fun 3 plane formation turns into either the leader racing ahead alone (if im number 3) or me and leader leaving the number 3 kilometers behind.I hope that bombers campaigns are not this crazy,cause this is my first playthrough of a carrer (i ordered a 250$ track ir for this game,jesus god dont let it be this way)?

here are pictures 1.Flight leader - rudder almost straight -not bothered by wind

                             2.Barely keeping with flight leader - rudder at 30 something degrees to keep leader course - bothered by wind

                             3.Wingman no3. cant even see searchlight from waypoint number 2 how far away he is - also rudder not bothered by wind apparently

i saw your airlift campaign,but i dont want to skip to stalingrad just yet...i want to do Moscow theatre first,and this is some basic stuff thats not working as should be.I had fun times,and just staying in formation is satisfiyng to me,i had some good solo missions as well,once being totally lost by strong winds,and then attacked as i landed at frontline airfield then damaged in air and limping back with 2 engines and runing out of fuel making a field landing.It is fun when it works...

Following up on this: the mission is generated from a nighttime template, so all planes fly solo. No bugs here.
