Youtch Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 Dear community of experts at building cockpit. I own VKB T-Rudder Pedals, and i am very pleased with it. I am willing to integrate it to a simple cockpit i am building and secure it with screws to the rest of the wooden platform. I was not able to find any instructions in the quick installation guide on how to do it. Has any of you experience with this and be able to secure the pedals from VKB? Many thanks in advance, Y.
jollyjack Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 I just use a rubber mat against sliding for my Crosswinds and Saitek before that. Maybe block shifting with a wooden rim?
Dusty_Steppes Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 This is my metal cockpit with Crosswinds mounted but you should be able to do something similar with a wooden cockpit. I mounted a metal bar in front to keep the pedals from sliding forward and then used tie wraps to secure the pedals to the plate. This gives me a solid mount, the pedals don't shift or flop, and they can be easily removed if needed. 1 1
spreckair Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 I mounted mine to a wooden stand. There are four holes on the frame for mounting the pedals. Two are under the spring, and the other two are mirrored on the other side. 1

I have the Mark IV. and do not see any holes apart of the ones to secure the bars. Edited March 12, 2024 by Youtch
Dusty_Steppes Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 He may be referring to the way I mounted my pedals. I chose to go with the zip ties because the holes on the left side of the pedals are fairly close to a pre-existing slot on the pedal tray.
