[80 years ago today] "• ‘Kato hayabusa sento-tai’ is released. It is a Japanese film about Colonel Tateo Katō’s 64th Sentai in the early part of the war. It includes some of the best footage of Japanese Army aircraft in existance. The special effects are by Eiji Tsuburaya who will go on to co-create the Godzilla franchise.

 

- The Allied aircraft are largely those captured in the Philippines and Malaya.
