SOLVED---Tactical Landing Strips for Normandy...How to create?

Been awhile since I created a single player map from scratch....usually modified old maps for my uses.

How do you get the Tactical Landing Strips on a new single player map. Attached is the Quick Mission Builder Map red arrows pointing to what I am talking about.

I create a Normandy map but there's nothing on it with the seasons and such. I know about adding objects...but cant remember how to put on airfields.

I read Prangster's Single Mission Guide. I understand about importing GROUPS. But I don't have any GROUP with these tactical runways.

I'm missing something?

Never mind...I figured it out. I was looking in the wrong GROUP file. Attached is just a map with Normandy Coast Tactical Fields. Just airfields with their surrounding objects. No trains. planes or automobiles.

Thanks, now where did you find this? Afraid it interferes with other groups i have already for Normandy maybe?

Well it's in a Template Folder that has the airfield GROUP files in it. I forgot how to use the editor to do this...since I am lazy and just mod other people missions (for my OWN USE). I was looking in the GROUP Folder in Missions which is a mistake.

Just point  to Template folder in Data folder. I used Normandy_Cliffs Group. Have a soft spot in this area since I do touch ' gos in my P-51 in DCS here.... so it looks very familiar.?

Mod/Edit my file as you see fit.

So i take it that the game's Normandy_Cliffs Group is the same as your Normandy Coast Tactical Base group?

Well both sub GROUPS are in the main Normandy_Cliffs Group when you import it. But when you input it on the map You want  sub GROUP Airfields_late (2) for the coastal tactical runways. Red Arrow on screenshot.

 

The other Group has English and some French bases Airfields_early (1886). Green Arrow on screenshot.

Both sub GROUPS are in the Normandy_Cliffs Group . I'm sure you can delete one  or the other sub Group to reduce size of map for loading. Or use in both if your PC can load it fast. Maybe there are tactical airfields in both sub GROUPS. I haven't looked at all the airfields. I just got what I wanted in Airfields_late (2) to tootle around on tactical strips in my Hurricane, P51, P47 and Typhoon.

Hope I have not confused you. If you open up my attached map from yesterday you will see it.
