Just started skinning, figured i'd share my skins with ya'll. Starting off with a generic Erla K-4, based on a profile by Anders Hjortsberg.

PS: I know the colour isn't 100% realistic, but I prefer how it looks this way.

Inspired by another profile by the same person and ICDP's Yellow 5. A "Franken" G-14. It hasn't worked out very well though, there's a lot of weird pixelated areas and I don't know how to fix them yet... If anyone know how to, please let me know.

New version of the Erla K-4. Added MW50 decals, darkened the green, fixed an issue with the fuselage. Still slightly WIP, will be on HSD when i'll be 100% done with it. Meanwhile, you can get it here: removed

 

 

Also made a variant with a spiral spinner : removed

Some Romanian 109's had their swastikas somewhat visible. I could've tried to cover it a bit but with the censorship on top it would've looked weird imo. I like it like this.

great work! possible to get a clean looking generic nationalist chinese P-51? They had both P-51B/Cs and P-51Ds.

 

(also had P-38s and P-47s if one of those more enjoyable/easy to make, would enjoy anything Chinese!)

She finally got some improvements done. Engine cowling still looks terrible though, I'm thinking of just making it an uniform color. Maybe one from a night fighter? maybe one from a plain green machine? Maybe a silver one? Idk yet

Saw that the template for the Spit XIV included FAA and RN markings so I figured I'd gave some fun with them. All rather basic of course. All credit to ICDP

This last one will not be released (unless someone wants it) as it's such a basic modification of the template, all I changed is the color of the prop hub.

More stupid skins I wanted to make.

2 fictional Hurricanes (different prop hub colours). They are a what-if the Soviets helped the Romanians (after the change of sides) restore their Hurricane Mk I's they used in 1941/42 before running out of spare parts, in order to use them for ground attack. Quite the wishful thinking, since the Soviets did everything they could to hinder the Romanians.

 

 

Edit: you might notice that the roundels on the wings are quite far out. While it doesn't look the best this was done in order to preserve my sanity and not have to deal with the upgrade-related template bits which are a nightmare.

 

Next: a semi-historical skin. The camo pattern isn't 100% correct but the plane it is based upon very much existed. In 1942 a Soviet desertor crash-landed his LaGG-3 series 8 in Manchuria. The Japanese Army Air Force restored and tested it. It was written off in an accident in 1943 and scrapped. Skin is for the LaGG-3 Series 29.
