Bomber Boys 3: Multiplayer Missions in IL-2
 

Good day, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Bomber Boys 3! After a month of meticulous planning and preparation, I am  thrilled to announce the latest edition of our multiplayer IL-2 missions. Following the resounding success of last year's Stukas and A-20 mission from the Spanish Community, I am proud to present Bomber Boys 3.
 

Bomber Boys 3 is set in the summer of 1942, a pivotal period where the Luftwaffe is poised to launch a series of small tactical bombing missions against strategic targets in England.
 

 

Axis Powers with bases on Occupied France:
- Fighters: Bf 109 F4, Bf 109 G2, Fw 190 A-3
- Bombers: Ju-88 A-4, He 111 H-6
- Ground Attack: Ju 87 D-3, Bf 110 E-2, Ju-88 C-6
 

Allied Forces with bases on Southest England:
- Fighters: Hurricane Mk.II, Spitfire Mk.Vb, Spitfire Mk.IXc (Merlin 70 Engine)

 

What is Bomber Boys?

Bomber Boys is an immersive and realistic mission where one faction takes on the role of attackers while the other defends, all within the historical context of the theater.

The primary objective is to execute realistic bombing runs with bombers, creating an authentic wartime atmosphere. It's a recreation, not a competition. So there is not a clear winner. The planning, meeting with friends and trying to recreate an historical moment and the experience is the main focus of this event. We don't want a few aces, we want smiles in both sides.

 

The mission will be online 3 times during a month (One day per week) during 3 hours. The teams must organize their actions during the 3 hour sessions. The schedule is to fly the event during the last part of March.

 

Additionally, there will be a limited stock of aircraft available for use throughout the three days of missions. Losses incurred will directly impact availible aircraft, as there will be no reinforcements for the 3 day event.

The attacking side can attack 3 different places. They can choose if the want to attack and reduce one objective to ashes or divide their effort with the help of ground attackers, not only bombers. This also helps into focusing the action in several places and also forces the defending side to divide and patrol.

 

The 3 hour sessions also helps to divide the momentum and helps both sides to manage their resources. There will be RRR availible and spawns will also be determined by the side's strategy.
 

The defending faction is prohibited from crossing the border into enemy territory, while the attacking faction has various strategic options to plan and execute their assaults. The defending team's task is to safeguard their homeland against enemy incursions as written above.

Recruitment

Bomber Boys 3 will have a player pool of 64 players. Attackers will have more players to compensate their bomber pilots. 

 

Although the idea is that the players manage the missions, 
Airports and equipment will be distributed among the players and participating groups. Cooperation will be vital.

 

There will be a Discord for each side to organize the sorties.
