Is there a way to fly for a side from the beginning of the war until the end?

 

Meaning, say I start the battle of Moscow with Bf 109 E-7 and then later on I move on to other campaigns and get my E-7 upgraded to other 109 versions...all the way until the end of the war?

Yes, the game allows you to move your character and squadron from one battle to the next.
Sometimes you may be required to swap units but the full Luftwaffe career goes Moscow>Stalingrad>Kuban>Normandy>Bodenplatte
