Show Pilot when in VR?

I notice you can see your pilot in replays from external views.  Would it be possible to show the pilot when you are in 1st person or VR?  Basically what it would entail is the same graphics already rendered in 3rd person view, just also rendered when you are in 1st person view or VR.  The tricky part is the players head (view) location would need to be right where the head is located.  The pilot rendered would need to track, from the waist up, with how the players moves his/her head around.  Would give an even more immersive feeling when flying, especially in VR.

I'd give a nickle just to have the heads shadow cast to get rid of the awful glare on a major portion of the canopy side that should have the sun blocked with the presence of a pilots noggin shadow when gazing out that side.  Instead we have blinding glare with no way to alleviate it.

The shadow effect is a good point and it would definitely add to the realism.  This is one of those things were it appears the programming and graphics are already in place, just need to render them when in the cockpit also?  Perhaps there would be a minor correction with locking in the hands/arms to the position on the stick and throttle and also remove the head so as to not interfere with your POV.
