Unable to Log in, Hangs Indefinitely

Hello,

 

My lovely, and favorite game, IL-2 is not allowing me to enter at the Login screen. I have put in a ticket, but thought that some savvy peeps on the forum might have a solution as I wait (hopefully not indefinitely ;-)) for a possible solution.

 

I work multiple jobs, so having time to play is highly constricted, and last night I wanted to play with the down time I had with MODS ON, so I ticked the Mods On box and restarted the game. On reentry I found I had to log in for some reason--I never had to do that before when I changed to mods on. Well, unfortunately, after I added my information and pressed online, the login screen started to hang indefinitely. I tried many times, but to no avail.

 

I attempted a few possible solutions: changed the password, verified files on Steam, restarted the PC, restarted Steam, and took out the mods from JSGME, and then added them back, and then took them out again.

 

As I write the game is attempting to log in, a half hour has passed.

Solution found! In the "startup.cfg" find this section, and change "modes" from 1 to 0:
