It's a financial matter. The simming community, or at least the 'whales' in the community do spend an ungodly amount of money, hence a proliferation of cockpits, panels, steering wheels, etc, etc. A car racer can easily spend 1000+ on a cockpit, 1000+ on a racing wheel and hundreds on pedals. And a flight simmer can spend a lot on a full cockpit. We've gradually seen price points move down, although VR obviously is still very expensive to get to a level where you still see a lot of gain. But once that goes down, I can see more and more people combining VR with a motion platform. Like 10 times as many sales of motion platforms than today. Of course not yet today, but later. And then the extra volume will help lower prices and increase the quality of the motion platforms, which helps increase sales even more.
Charlo-VRde Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Just a Next Level Racing Motion Platform V3 adds fantastic immersion to my VR experience - and that’s just a butt mover. I get queasy without it now. Still hoping to someday experience Cliffs in VR. I paid for it twice, after all, once on original release and again a few years ago to support their VR efforts 1

So far there are 157 YouTube comments on this video and a number of those remind how long now VR has been promised as "coming soon". The forum title for the video is odd: "TFS - 2024" in that everything shown seems to have been seen in vids from 2023. Blitz and DW-T are almost four years old now. Then the video ends by directing viewers to the ATAG website. So much for 2024.

Now please, if you have nothing constructive to say about this game (or at least something that is not ill-will loaded) then please simply say nothing. Wanna say something? wanna open a new thread? Wanna remember once more to the community that there are as-yet unresolved problems in this game? Sure, no problem, please do... but what about doing it politely, with no ulterior motives? In other words, please you and a few others stop opening loaded threads. There are too much of them around here, and for too many years now. "When Jason was here, he'd tell me I should just vaporize the naysayers permanently" (Buzzsaw, October the 25th, 2023) Buzzsaw stated this two or three years after I've been already called "a self-appointed moderator". Thus I'm not a self-appointed mod and there's a real problem with some people in this forum. And the problem will keep going as long as the moderators allow your sarcasms and nastiness in this forum. Normally enough should be enough but... oh you lucky you... The advancements in VR, especially when it comes to flight simulators, have been mind-blowing! It’s incredible how far the immersion has come, and it makes me think of all the road trips I’ve taken in real life. Speaking of trips, if you're ever in the market for a new car to get to those long-haul destinations, it’s always a good idea to check the history of a vehicle before purchasing. For example, using this https://www.faxvin.com/vin-check can help you learn everything you need about a car, from its previous owners to whether it’s been involved in any accidents. It’s a small step that can save you a lot of headaches down the road. Anyway, looking forward to seeing how VR continues to improve in future updates! I get where you're coming from, and it’s clear that the frustration with ongoing issues in the game and forum culture has been building up for some time. It’s tough when threads get bogged down with sarcasm or negativity instead of constructive discussions that could help the community. I also agree that a more polite, respectful approach is needed to keep the space productive and enjoyable for everyone. 1 1
Hiuuz Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Again, it's dead quiet for two months. I wonder what's going on in the background.

Hoots Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Given the lack of TFS forum activity I think something sub optimal has probably happened.

That wasn't me!

No.54_Reddog Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Holy necro post! And it's brought with it Kintaro. How apt. 1
