System configuration with three bass shakers - center on joystick and left right back on the chair

Hello Andre
I have been using the SimshakerWings app with 6 bass shaker support for a long time. I have a buttkicker gamer on a joystick mounted and two bass shakers one to the left and one to the right of my chair. Buttkicker gamer mounted on the joystick does not react when the joystick is moved to the left or back (g efect, pitching motion, rolling motion). Everything works fine on the side bass shakers. I have the Asio driver installed and it is enabled and the 3bass shakers option is enabled.

Thanks for the advice

Hello, have you changed the wav. Files to audacity software in order to feed your buttkicker bass shaker at the same time with the other two bass shakers? You also have to save those new wav. files to the customized folder of the "6" channel main folder.

But before that you have to check in windows settings in audio settings  if your 5.1 or 7.1 speakers configuration is working properly by doing the tests.

Hi dgiatr

thanks for the advice, but unfortunately I don't understand how to do it. Can you describe the process more precisely? When (in simshaker wings) I test the bass shakers output is confirmed, the number of bass shakers is 3-6, asio mode is confirmed, and the use of surround 5.1 is confirmed. The left and right bass shakers are 1 and 2 and the joystick shaker is 6 and everything works when I test them.
Thank you

Hi, First of all are you sure in windows audio settings that your 5.1 speakers configuration works properly? There is a test in there that when activated you should hear a bell sound one at a time in every bass shaker in a cyclical order. So if you hear it in all of your bass shakers then your first step is OK.

After that you should go to windows documents and find the simshaker folder. In there you should find "audio effects" or something like this ( I don't remember exactly) and then you should find the " customized" folder. In there you should find the "6" folder. In there every wav file should be opened with audacity programm and in each audacity file  you should copy paste the waveform from channel one or two to the channel 6 so you can feed you buttkicker in channel 6 at the same time with the other two bass shakers. After that you should save those audacity files as wav files with the same name as their original but you should set your speakers  configuration inside audacity as 6 speakers ( see the simshaker manual - i dont remember exactly where it is but if you cannont find i will check tomorrow to tell you..).

Hope it helps..

Are you sure having that ButtKicker actually connected to your stick extension is a good idea? I'd be worried about the affect of that on the stick over the long term. I'd put it on the mount somehow but not directly connected to the stick. YMMV.

Hi Drano

Hello I have mounted the joystick like this for two years and there are no problems with it. It is true that the effects are not set to max. vibrations. just enough to get the feeling.
