PWCG can't find mission log

Recommended Posts

I just completed my first mission from PWCG (I bailed out--we got caught by a bunch of enemy planes and got wrecked). But I keep getting the "unable to find matching log set" error when I try to do the AAR. The logs are there. The mission name is in the first file. I don't know what else to check. Error report attached if that helps.

Do you have this set in the startup.cfg file?:   mission_text_log = 1

Yes. I can see the mission log files in the game's root directory. I've also tried moving them to the logs folder. Same result.

You can specify where your logs go in startup.cfg. I have the below and it puts logs in \IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\logs and PWCG finds them fine.

The problem is the campaign name of "1".  PWCG can't find it because it looks like everything else in the mission logs.  Not sure that there is much that I can do about it except put in validation to prevent names like that in the future.

I don't want to come of sounding like it's your fault.  If I let a name go through it should work, so my apologies that it does not.  In the future I l will validate for at least 5 characters and starting with a letter.

That explains why my test worked. I did a complete reinstall of IL2 and PWCG to see if maybe something was broken in there somewhere, created a new campaign, generated a new mission, started the mission, took off then immediately finished the mission, and it worked. The campaign name was "thisisbullshit" so now I know how to get a new campaign to work.

A fine name for a campaign!  Pretty sure that PWCG will recognize that one.
