Humbre79 Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 I know it has been requested before but it seems that we are getting long time requested corrections (P40 and P47's flight models) maybe is it the right time to get the clipped wings mod for the Spitfire Vb. All others Spitfire have this mod but it is on this version of the Spit that it is the most interresting. 3d model shall not be too hard and new junior engineers seem to need training. Thank you. 1

102nd-YU-devill Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 (edited) I would like to support this request. We need mods for a standard Spitfire MkVb (M45) to transform it into the 1943 LF (M50M) version which would include: - Merlin 50M engine option (with the Bendix carburetor) - Clipped wing option - Wing and fuselage shackles for 2x 250 or 1x 500 lb bombs The guns armament would however remain the same with drum-fed Hispanos (60 rnds per gun) and Browning .303 MGs. This version would really complement 1943 scenarios and all the way up to and beyond 1944 Normandy. By the way, why do we have a Merlin 46 in the current variant? As far as I remember 46 was introduced on Vc. Edited May 26, 2024 by 102nd-YU-devill 1
