Even after adjusting pitch/trim - plane still dives

So it seems that quite a few planes seem to want to nose down, even if I do 100% trim or -100% trim.  I know some planes have stabilizer trim...other's elevator trim, but no matter what, these planes will just dive toward the ground.  The joystick is perfectly calibrated as well.  I thought someone at one point mentioned that it can be impossible to trim a plane that is full of fuel.  However, it seems that when I played online and choose 40% fuel, the gauge still reads full.  I don't have this issue in DCS...what am I missing?

I've never seen this. Which planes? And can you confirmed that the trim is actually changing with tech-chat, or by watching the control itself?

FW-190 does it.  I can adjust the stabilizer to 100% or -100% and it still dives.  Flaps are retracted, gear is up.  I don't get it.

And yes, I can see the tech chat (stuff on the right side of the screen?) and I can see the trim switch move as well.

At a guess, you have two different controllers assigned to the elevator.

Thanks, I'll check that tonight and report back.

So, I had Elevator trim axis setup as (joy1_b5_b7).  I also had  assigned Elevator trim switch up (joy1_b7) and Elevator trim switch: down (joy1_b5).  This setup has never given me issues with any other planes that I can recall.  Anyway, I did try clearing out the Elevator axis setup (joy1_b5_b7) to test and it made no difference.  I can definitely see with each trim up/down that the switch on the left console of the cockpit moves along with each key press.  The tech chat shows the change, I can see the control surfaces move with the trim.  My flaps do look to be up and I think there are 3 settings for flaps?  Flaps released, flaps takeoff, and flaps retracted.  Not sure why I'm still struggling.  If I don't touch the joystick, and I don't see any movement with the in-game stick...my joystick is calibrated perfectly and has no drive. I don't get why I have this issue.  Anything else it could be?  Could it be the amount of fuel or weapons I'm carrying?  I'm sure that can matter, but I wouldn't think to this degree.  Also worth mentioning, adjusting the trim to 100% or -100% does make a different in the game, but even trimming in the opposite direction, the plane will still dive.

I think I found where the problem is...now I just need help fixing it.  It does appear that the in-game yoke is pushed slightly forward.  The joystick is calibrated, although I did calibrate it again to be safe.  Where I believe the issue is, is where I have the pitch setup for my joystick.  There's a setting to change "Input responses: plane control: pitch".  I feel this is wrong.  Is it?  If so, what do I need to do to fix?

Ahhhh...I had to change the neutral point.  That fixed it!  Thanks for the help!

Set the dead zone center to 0, and the neutral point to 0. You can adjust the dead zone center later if you feel you need to.
