mavers92 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Hi all, Been playing for years, single player mainly, got a new PC had to redo my controls recently. my problem now is the rpm control with RAF planes. i use an x56 and use the split throttle for prop pitch and throttle. When i push the pitch control full forward it registers 100% and then drops to 51%. i pull all the way back and i goes to 0% then back to 51% I've checked the axis is registering properly and it is. What am i missing? I have tried RPM limiter on and off, I'm at a lose for what to try next. Your help is appreciated Peter
Cynic_Al Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 When you calibrate the controller, does that axis respond normally?
mavers92 Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 It does, when I test the pitch movement in key mapping it shows 0 - 100% perfectly. The throttle always works properly in other games as well.
jollyjack Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 Do you by any chance have a backup of your old input folder? If it worked before i'd say it must be some windows or driver issue. Type Game controller in your windows search menu, (setup USB game controllers), and see how the Z axis behaves there.
cardboard_killer Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 I have to say that this is a new one on me. I've read a lot of challenges with calibration but in-flight resetting is really odd. Are you sure you don't have the Engine Auto Control or the Throttle auto limit options checked in realism?
mavers92 Posted February 10, 2024 Author Posted February 10, 2024 So it's not a joystick problem. Bound the prop pitch to POV hat and still had the same issue. So now I'm verifying the game files. Here is my custom settings

mavers92 Posted February 10, 2024 Author Posted February 10, 2024 Just verified the files and still have the problem. Hopefully this helps
mavers92 Posted February 10, 2024 Author Posted February 10, 2024 I've tested prop pitch in CloD and it works ok there. Reassigned prop pitch to another axis and it worked ok at first then just went back to 48% and had exactly the same problem. Very perplexing

Very perplexing I keep thinking about it, and I just feel like there has to be something in the input that is causing it. Check out the Engine 1 settings and make sure there is nothing mapped there. 1

I've never mapped it there so can only presume its some sort of default (bizarre if it is) along with some other controls, which I've now all cleared too. had a test and its working fine now Thanks so much, you're instincts were spot on ?
