Aleksander55 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 (edited) Tracks available here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V7gbY1EztFIHc9sr3EJURyydnChhZxTE?usp=sharing Please warn me if you can't access the folder. 1 - AI IAR-80s with the 20mm guns mod is firing at nothing missing the player's aircraft completely. I don't own the plane. IAR80-20mm-Bug-I16s-Guns-Bug.rar 2 - AI IAR-80 flying with no vertical stabiliser and half a missing elevator. On rails, no wobbling at all around the landing pattern. IAR80-NoVertStab-HalfElevator-OnRails.rar 3 - Ju-88 A4 climbing performance. I'm sorry for using wikipedia for this. Anyone with official sources can correct me if this climb performance is acurate. Time to altitude: 5,400 m (17,700 ft) in 23 minutes Bombs: Up to 1,400 kilograms (3,100 lb) of ordnance internally in two bomb bays rated at 900 kg (2,000 lb) and 500 kg (1,100 lb) or up to 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) externally. Carrying bombs externally increased weight and drag and impaired the aircraft's performance. Carrying the maximum load usually required rocket-assisted take-off. In the sim the Ju-88 A-4 on Autopilot gets to 5400 m in about 18 minutes and 85 kilometers carrying 4 external 250kg bombs + 28 internal 50kg bombs, this with a headwind of 11m/s. This compares very favorably with the wikipedia data that I assume to be for a typical internal only bomb load, or B-25s with internal bomb load that can't get to 5500 meters even with a round trip of 240kms in the same sim. Again, sorry for using wikipedia. Just correct me if I'm wrong here. Edited February 7, 2024 by Aleksander55
FeuerFliegen Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 That's interesting about the IAR. How did you view the B-25 in that way, showing the speed, altitude, "engine's selected", and ammo count? I thought you could only view that for a plane that you were flying.
jollyjack Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 With F2 view, and scroll with mouse and zoom with wheel?
