Elevator Trim problems

I'm running a Gladiator nxt evo joystick. Any help out there regarding how to bind trim tabs. Nothing seems to work ??      Appreciate help on this matter. Thank You..........

Which plane matters. In a 109 you have the use stabilazor trim axis (or something like that. Others is the vertical trim axis. Some planes like the 190 do not use a trim axis but buttons.

I have the same stick. I use the middle one for rudder trim, the one on the left for ailerons, and the one on the right for the elevator. 

 

For the adjustable stabilizer, I use the middle wheel since the 109 doesn't have rudder trim. For the FW, I use the one on the left because it works well as a switch.
