Mysticpuma Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 One of the new settings available (for the landscape) is for buildings, which can now be set as 'Insane'. Now if you choose that, and also viewing distance 'Very far', you can now remove the horrible brown tiles of buildings that used to pop into view. These images are from the latest beta 5.148 VR Beta patch that became available to beta testers a few days ago. The ground has truly started to look impressive with no visible pop up of buildings. 19 2
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted February 3, 2024 Team Fusion Posted February 3, 2024 The first two images in this post are of ground fog over terrain. The images do not look impressive or accurate visually because SIMUL's trueSKY code for ground fog is buggy. SIMUL has been notified of the issue and they have committed to rewrite the code. This is not a flaw in the Team Fusion implementation of trueSKY. -- Re. the other points MP raises: Yes, the system for the appearance of buildings at long distances has been changed and improved. In addition, the rendering code for statics has been re-written... so the player should be getting double and sometimes triple the framerate over heavily urban areas which he might have with the vanilla version or previous VR Beta. CaptainFlemme Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 It looks beautiful even with the unoptimized fog, already way better than the old/current weather engine. Those clouds looks quite nice ! And London is very nice here ! 1
