ROF own server not working

@TG-55Panthercules Hello, I need help with the game Rise of Flight, I've been trying to start my own server in the game for over a month (I don't mean a dedicated server, but a private server that I create in the game menu), I create a server, but my friend can't always connect to it when he tries to do so, he gets error #10019: unable to connect to game server. The server only works if our computers are connected to the same network (it says LAN connection). I've tried almost everything, FW port 28000, 28100, 443, 28001, but nothing works. Could someone help me with this? In other words, what other options do I have if we want to play alone, rather than against other players against the AI? thank you in advance

Sorry, I don't have any experience or knowledge about how to set up the kind of server you are talking about (or if it's even possible).  I did operate a RoF server briefly a few years ago for some testing of coop missions, but I was using the dedicated server approach.  Hopefully some of the folks around here who do operate RoF servers will be able to chime in and give you a hand here.
