I was considering just the IR tracker as I liked that it just used standard batteries but there was no real solution on how to attach to a headset. I went with the IRTrackStar RS Ultralight instead.

It looks like TrackIR5, which i was a user for a while, and about 30 dollars cheaper.

But i got fed up with the fact that you had to wear that LED contraption, so i got a Trackhat sensor v2 now.

Which works quite well if you use their own OpenTrack v3.2 drivers, but only AFTER placing the NPClient drivers manually into the appropriate windows system32 and SysWOW folders, which i figured out myself.

I ordered one. It is somewhat bulky in size, like an ice hockey puck. It works fine and the leds are quite visible even if you turn your head to side ways.

The camera seems to be in lower resolution than track ir5 or the leds are brighter. I had the camera attached to wall behind the monitor, same place I had my TIR5 camera. It had trouble seeing the 3 leds as separate lights so now it is attached to the monitor.

It uses Open track and that's a plus in my perspective. I have used TIR5 a lot and I'm fed up with the fact that they don't fix issues or add features that are in Open track.

But still I wish I could get an Ed tracker. That was my favorite tracker before it broke.
