A nothing comment but having watched the IL-2 development videos I'd much rather hear their actual voices with English subtitles.

 

Edit:  Carrier and career are pronounced similarly to Korea.  It isn't helpful!  ?

I appreciate this degree of self-awareness btw! ? I wish everyone avoided claiming their opinions represented the 'consensus'... it gets tiring...

Haha, yeah, when i heard about the career improvements, I was loving it...but appreciate that not everyone has anything do with the career mode

Good Q&A! We learned a bit more about the new project, and a lot about the future of GB. Happy to hear my engine timer question get answered, and SUPER pumped for the updated P-40!!!!

 

update: hadn't quite finished to Q&A. Glad to hear about some potential P-47 updates too!

How many standalone games do they want to make ? /j 

 

It will just be apart of the GB series they are using Korea as a spring bored to do the pacific. They said while talking about the B-25 they mention it could be apart of that area too. so looks like it's all going to be under one roof still.

I think they're referring to Korean era carrier ops i.e. Panthers, Skyraiders, Corsairs, Sea Furies, Fireflies, Seafire 47s etc.

Nah they said something about the B-25 being in the Pacific i.e WW2 iirc.

Not that it changes the end result, but based on the context I would say the translator was saying "Career" in his British accent, not Korea.

Good to know the IL-4 and Pe-3bis are coming. I'd rather see the Bf-110F than the Fw-190A-9.

Carrier operations already in the work for a future PTO, DX12 already implemented with PBR, New career functionality such as requesting ammo/fuel and more impact in the front, modding tools / information, new damage model for engines and timers, improved P-40 soon, simple FM for increased bomber numbers? possibility for more planes for GB, realistic ammo belts and configuration, many planes that they hope they can build for GB, P-47 to be looked at in the first half of 24...

It really is such a positive video. AI was probably the only thing where they were a bit hesitant on, but they are actively trying to recruit someone, they can’t do much more tbh

to be honest - the answers they gave didn't convince me at all. Some of the answers were really clumsy, which will definitely influence my purchase decision.

Maybe it is,  but I did not hear the word Korea uttered even once

Well they did confirm more complex engine damage. Improved ai. That alone won me over. Saying there will be PTO as next project definitely was interesting. And was that too hard? Depending on timeframe and quality of Korea I probably buy next project

The way they talked about a new project it is clear to me it will not be compatible to GB but the did not state it clearly either

And the way they skirted around VR improvements it looks like we should not expect MT anytime soon

So after almost an hour of information and images for the next project and yet people are still saying it's a waste of time for them and trying to deny it's Korea. 

You just can't win can we.

No I don't think so, they clearly said Pacific will be next after the new project, but they only  just started to look into deck operations so I don't think it will be ready for Korea

They want to build the Catalina... doesn't sound like Korea to me.

 

Good to hear that PBR will be implemented but will it be just the new models or will it be applied to all existing aircraft? Skinning would be much improved IMO if so.

 

Disappointed on the minimal response to increasing control button limitations and improving the process of binding buttons. I still think that DCS has a much better control mapping GUI especially that all you have to do is press the button on your HOTAS to see where you have mapped that button.

Catalina saw service on the Kuban map - has nothing to do with the next release. Lots of PTO use obviously.

Idk to me it seems like they want to do Korea now so it will be easier for them when they go to the pacific. 

As for GB it looks like we are getting collectors aircraft and fan made maps from now on.
