PeaceO Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 I am wishing to get into Flying Circus but am unsure as to which volume I should buy? Sequential seems correct or is it all rolled up into volume 3? Thanks!
Zooropa_Fly Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 I'd go with FC1. Logical place to start, and you're getting most of the best planes.
jollyjack Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Agree, spent a lot of time with those Bristols. Currently i like that Hanriot too that's in FC3. And with FC3 we finally got Paris, although it's without Arc nor Eiffel tower.

PeaceO Posted January 16, 2024 Author Posted January 16, 2024 Got it! Thanks guys. Goin for volume 1 time now. 1
JGr2/J5_Klugermann Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Best bang for your buck. Most of the other stuff is wasteful. Wait for it to come down in price. 1
CharlieG Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Not to beat a dead horse, but since I’ll be buying Flying Circus for the first time, I want to be sure that Volume 2 is a standalone product that I can run as is. I don’t need to install Volume 1 first. Is that correct?

Enceladus828 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 It pretty much all boils down to what planes you like flying. If you really like late-WW1 fighters or for example, the Fokker Dr. 1 get FC1, if you're more of a bomber or two-seater person then get FC2, if you're more interested in earlier planes like the Nieuport 17 and Hanriot get FC3. I'm more interested in the Eindecker, DH.2 and Roland so I'll probably get FC4.
RNAS10_Mitchell Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 If you're only buying 1, I'd suggest FC1. It's usually the cheapest, and has some of the best planes. If you try it and like it, get FC2 & 3.
Avimimus Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 I personally prefer: FC3 over FC2 FC2 over FC1 ? FC1 has some of the most interesting aircraft combinations (as it is slightly earlier in the war), with more unique strengths and weaknesses for each aircraft. FC2 has the Sopwith Triplane and Fokker D.VIII (both designs I like). Twin engined bombers as well as two seaters, and I have an unnatural preference for the Fokker D.XII... It is a very diverse planeset. That said, FC3, has several iconic 1917/1918 aircraft...
jetsimace Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I have understood that the difference between FC1, FC2 and FC3 are mostly the planes that are included, but the map included is the same. Are there any other significant differences like map (size and/or detail), included ground objects, included mission (types) and/or campaigns? Thanks!

The difference is only the planes (and hence the available missions) offered in each bundle - everyone has the same ground objects and map. That also means that if you only have one of the volumes you can still fly against all the others in the other volumes. 1
Czart Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Since there are interesting price reductions, I will buy FC 1. 1
JGr2/J5_Klugermann Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 I just got Rise of Flight because they are offering lottery tickets.
GADDY Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Thanks for all the replies to the O.P guys. I'm about to get FC1 in the sale. I've spent so over my budget on DLC, but I felt I was missing out on WWI stuff, so..... Anyhow, thanks again.
