Hello guys just this question.

I have to update and change my old computer.

Is it possible to play il 2 great battles with xbox or play station? With a thrustmaster t 16.000 complete flight pack? And with track ir 5 original?

Thank you for any advice.

I think on ps5 your only option is Warthunder. If you have a PSVR2 headset, there is a VR Warthunder offshoot something out this year Aces of Thunder?

This. Aces of Thunder might actually be pretty good, who knows. Warthunder had lots of potential before it became an MMO with pay to win. Maybe Aces of Thunder will be a return to the Wings of Prey/Birds of Steel roots that borrowed heavily from IL-2 1946 for FMs/DMs.

Nope, unfortunately not. GB is PC only. There is an announcement in limbo (maybe spring) for a new game based on a new or heavily modified engine, but unlike war thunder which is multiplatform, there has been no information about XBOX or play station compatibility.

Wings of Prey and Birds of Steel were great games for what they were. I know they were a gateway to sims for me and a lot of my friends at the time!

I highly doubt the new project will come to consoles either, I can't really see a combat sim with any level of complexity translating well to a gamepad in a manner that would be accessible and popular to most people. MSFS pulls it off, but given its a civil sim theres much less "urgency" to most command inputs, lol.

I dont know about the game consoles but the Thrustmaster T-16000 will work with IL-2 GB. I have one for a back-up stick and I used it many times. Also Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS throttle will work also.

Warthunder is great for that. A great starting point to get people into flight sims and airplanes, tanks.

If you put it on Sim difficulty it's pretty similar to IL2-46, with nice pretty graphics, tons of airplanes, and runs well on older PCs. I still play it sometimes for fun, mainly tanks these days.

As someone who has a PSVR2, I'm excited for Aces of Thunder! Warthunders online grindfest gets a bad rap on here, but the single player missions are pretty fun and look pretty.

Thanks a lot guys..Soon I'll receive the original track ir so it will be easier to fly I think. For now I do exercise in single missions with the bf 109 f and the camel.

In fact I'm in love with the sturmovik sim and the ww1 and ww2 airplanes. I played in rise of flight in NFF server and it was great..

The next step will be the new computer and monitor. So maybe I will ask some other suggestions.
