I think it would be better to ask in the VPForce Discord.

Hi Rhino Crew - I just installed the TelemFFB 2.0 update (great work by everyone developing that awesome software).  I am wondering if anyone else is experimenting with the new Advanced Dynamic Spring for airspeed resistance and disabling the native force spring from IL2?  If so, what are your thoughts so far?

Hi Varibraun, I am still in the older telemffb version haven't updated yet. I have a nice stick stifness feeling vs speed with that version which keeps me satisfied. I have also kept the legacy version of g forces, which in combination with the dynamic spring effect work fine for me. I am afraid of updating to the newer version in case I loose those effects. Why are you asking about other people's opinion for the new version? Aren't you happy with that? What's the feeling with it?

Cheers Jim

I have not switched yet to the new version. Maybe I will do it next week. Do you like how cannons and machine guns feel different now from one plane to another?

Hi Jim - I am just starting out (had to keep SimShaker and the motion rig off to get a real feel for it in the stick and rudders).  Yes, I am happy with it, but was interested to see how others felt especially since settings are subjective. Below are my initial thoughts about 2.0 based on the 2ish hours of experimenting that I have had so far:

-I KNOW 2.0 has a MUCH more intuitive UI, this applies to every part of the program.  New editing/cloning functions are superior and simplified.

-So far, I THINK the new TelemFFB "Advanced Dynamic Spring" is better than the native IL2 spring with the Config dynamic spring settings and takes away the complaints about the speed/control surface force issue that many noted originally that was then somewhat mitigated with the Config effect.  (I am assuming the TelemFFB Advanced Dynamic Spring" setting simply overrides the Config dynamic spring setting when it is toggled on).

-The Advanced Dynamic Spring is definitely more intuitive for set up since you can see the spring force based on airspeed (the live function is really nice feature for testing it).  Comparing it directly with the toggle ability to turn the native spring back on (which I assume turns on the Config dynamic spring function), you will get more FFB force with speed with this new TelemFFB function.  However, because it is very customizable, it will require tweaking since the airspeed is obviously very different for a Camel vs. a Spitfire.  Plus, I have no idea how heavy the force should be for a Spitfire at 400mph vs. a Mustang/BF109/FW190 at 400mph.  Right now I am just using a straight line force and experimenting with the 100% force top speed for both the stick and the rudders.  Ultimately, I will likely come up with a range that feels right and then adjust per aircraft by using the POT dial on on the joystick to make adjustments for lighter and heavier aircraft.  WWI will need a different range due to airspeed and since the rudder pedals don't have a POT, they may require some per aircraft adjustments (but this is easy to due in the settings).

-Finally, if you update, I THINK you can still keep your legacy settings in 2.0 by the toggle under Spring & G forces.

I have only tested it in the Spitfire and the Sopwith Triplane so far, but I do like this effect and can tell the difference between the machine guns and the cannon in the Spit.  However, I did have to turn up the overall gunfire setting for the Triplane to get them to register (my guess is the low caliber got tuned down with the new effect - at 70% they are now working fine).  Also, I don't think this new effect will be as noticeable once I turn my Buttkickers & Jetpad back on with Simshaker because I believe it was already present in those overall haptics, but it will still be a nice complement directly in the Joystick and Pedals.  I look forward to your thoughts if you decide to make the jump to 2.0.
