zhihengcao Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 I remember couple years ago in this game I could enter inverted spin (in a Fw190A3) easily, but now, whenever I try this (e.g. fly inverted, keep pushing, then slam left rudder when airspeed gets low) the airplane inexplicably rolls (despite my opposite aileron input to try to keep inverted) and becomes upright, then enters upright/regular spin. This appears to be the same for multiple aircraft types (Fw190, P51, etc). I am a real world aerobatic pilot and own/fly aerobatics in a Pitts S1 and Extra. I can tell you it is very easy to enter inverted spin, from low speed inverted flight or especially "hammerhead turn", and neither airplane behave the way the airplane behaves (roll by itself to upright) in this game. My question to developer: is this intentional in an otherwise almost-perfect flight model? Is this automatic roll to upright intentionally added to flight model to help "novices" or to make the game more fun (in terms of dog flight etc?) without crashes due to inability to recover from spins etc? 1
