SR-F_Winger Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) Hi guys, i have been flying DCS mainly the last months. In the last days i have been trying out IL2 again. I like it. Performance is great and everything. But what bothers me (in fact so uch that its basically a gamebreaker) is the IMHO too restrictive bounding box in cockpits. I dont want to start a discussion if how it is should be changed or not, I only want to hear some opinions and if, (if more people have the same opinion) this has been comunicted to the developers. I know the way it is in DCS right now is also not right because you can put your head through the glass. But the bounding box in IL2 is so narrow that my VR view always gets *stuck* and moves the whole thing leaving me desoriented and this always breaks my immersion. What so you guys think about that? Koziolek Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 I have it turned off but do not stick my head through the glass. This way I can move my head freely inside the whole cockpit 1
spreckair Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Exactly what Koziolek stated above for me too.
von_Tom Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) I have it turned on and it's fine for me. As a rule though I try to get the head position into the position as it was for the people that flew them. Quite a few seem to have the head position too far aft solely for looking forwards viewing purposes and that may impact on it. For example - captured FW190. SR-F_Winger Posted January 9, 2024 Author Posted January 9, 2024 thanks guys. isnt the restriction a serverside setting that can be enforced?
