Mysticpuma Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 I would say one of the most disappointing visual effects are the ground explosions, which have been significantly reduced in comparison to their original (team fusion patched) form. Team Fusion created a lot of optimised effects that resulted in some great visual effects with very little CPU overhead in comparison to the original effects at launch. One of those effects that benefitted from TFS input was the bomb explosions. Here is a video from 2014 which shows bombs going off. The video starts as the explosion effects can be seen. My question is, now that TFS have found the CPU bottleneck and can run the effects through the graphics card, could we see a return to the sweet spot of effects as show in this video? 1

Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted January 6, 2024 Team Fusion Posted January 6, 2024 We continue to work on improving the performance of the game in high stress/heavy CPU/GPU situations. We expect to have good news on this in the next while... which will be tested in the VR Beta prior to release. 4 2

I agree-ground explosions are currently underwhelming.
