Modifying rank epaulettes for the Soviet Air Force 1941-1943

Ever since career mode came out, I was somewhat disappointed that the rank tabs for the Soviet pilots pre-1943's uniform revision was the collar tab used on the winter uniforms. Though correct for usage in the leather jacket and winter uniforms, most of the time from what I've seen the most prominent form of display of rank in the VVS uniforms pre-1943 was in the collar tabs of the summer uniform, or whatever uniform was under their high altitude/winter jackets:

 

 

 

 

As such, I took the freedom of creating some replacement images for the Soviet pre-1943 ranks that fit the correct collar tab ranks that would be associated with the ranks available in Career mode. The only problem now is I do not know what the file structure or location of the .dds files is so I can replace them. Seeing as I'm on the Steam version of the game, I suspect these files are streamed and online, but can be replaced with files à la the "Hakenkreuz enabler" for the medals on the German side.

If the file structure/format/name location could be provided to me I'll get to work on assembling these into a mod. Any help and feedback is appreciated!
