Barnacles Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 (edited) Edit, I've since been told that you can use f10 to toggle the mouse and hence tool tips on/off I'll leave the post up because the part about brightness at night still might be something to consider. No biggie though. Dear Team Fusion, Firstly I am incredibly excited by the prospect of realistic night fighting with the announcement of 6.5. So much so that I started a night mission in a Wellington! Whilst doing that I was thinking. Would it be possible to have an option to turn the tooltips off or be suppressed (they are useful when you want them), or at least have them in a less obtrusive font at night? Even if I put the mouse pointer off the screen you get tooltips coming up in the corner of the screen, so I don't think it's something I can easily avoid without not looking around the cockpit (I use a head tracker but have a VR headset which I'm itching to use with CloD. It just seems that it'll be a real inhibitor of immersion/being able to see; if when you're trying to navigate at night occasionally some bright-white thing flashes up. It's going to be really bad in VR if it happens there too. Not just at night, I think at all times it detracts from the beauty of the game when you intermittently get Microsoft windows-esque paraphernalia flashing up. The best thing I could think of would be for the game to 'deactivate' everything to do with the mouse pointer if you've not moved it for a few seconds. Then when you move the mouse and hence want these things flashing up, they'll be available to you. I'd understand if you don't see this as a priority, as it is a small thing and the game will work perfectly well without this being changed, it's just for me personally these little details do effect my enjoyment. zzzxxxxzzz Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 I don't know if you already know this and it's not what you're referring to, but if you press F10 the mouse pointer is deactivated 3

PO_Baldrick Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 Whilst you can turn the mouse pointer off, I would also like to be able to turn tooltips off when using the mouse pointer to interact with controls. Once you know what each of the controls do it is a bit immersion breaking to have the tooltips pop up IMHO, especially in VR where you effectively move the mouse pointer just by looking around.
