Is there a Spitfire IX for IL-2?

Hello everyone,

 

I was reading a book about Spitfires and a few pilots said that their favourite Spit was the mark IX. I've searched for this model in IL-2, but I can't find it. Does anyone know if this is availble somehow for the game?

The Mk IX is included with Battle of Bodenplatte.

The Spitfire Mk. IXe we currently have in the sim.  Depicted in a custom skin.

You never can have too many Spitfires in a game. I love them. All of them.

 

With GB you get:

 

- Spitfire VB (collector)

- Spitfire IXe (Bodenplatte)

- Spitfire XIV (Normandy)

- Spitfire XIVe (collector)

and most likely 2024:

- Spitfire IXc (collector)

 

I would not mind to additionally have a Spitfire VII or VIII and a Spitfire VC as collectors, but I guess that's just the Spitfire nut I am ?

I d like to see also Mk II and VC.

But they seems to be related only to a another Sim.....bope with the help of new 3rd part collaboration we ll get the related theatre...

Yep, IIRC we get to see those in CLOD. Maybe end of 2024. I'm quite happy with that. The more flightsims available the better for the customer.

Also the clipped wing versions of the IX and XIV! Don't forget those! ? They are included as variants of the same aircraft, but they are distinct enough I think to make the list.
