Failed to update!

[RMS38]

I'm attempting to set up my father's computer to run IL2, after having successfully done so on my own.

 

Over and over again, I get the "failure to update" error after downloading 50gb of data

 

I have tried the only fix I can find, which is to remove the Update folder and let it rebuild. Of course, that is not working which is why I'm writing.
