Sheriff88 Posted December 22, 2023 Posted December 22, 2023 Why call "Hardest Fighter to Fly". I find the I.A.R. 80 pretty easy. A bit nose heavy but you can trim that out. Loses energy fairly quickly but recovers and accelerates well. IMO the most difficult is the P-47. As much as I like the T-Bolt, to get the best performance you have to fiddle with crazy engine management.

If you fly full realism you wil need to pretty constantly change the prop pitch manually and it is also pretty slow. I do like to fly it, its handling is great! But i woud choose almost everything else if survival was my top priority.

P-47 might have a lot to learn about before you fly it, but once you know what you're doing, it's pretty easy to fly. While I have not flown the IAR-80 yet, I have flown planes with manual prop pitch, and I would agree that because of that, I could easily see this as being the hardest plane in the sim to fly. You have to constantly be thinking about your RPMs 1
